The new building provides additional classroom space for the school to place the pre-school group and also serves as pre and after school club area. The new Garden Escape building is perfectly fitted to Dickleburgh’s eco-schools status.
The Pre-school building includes DDA compliant Toilets and wash room and DDA compliant disabled access ramp and balustrades as well as a sheltered outside area. With a number of different uses for the building throughout the day the school and the Garden Escape had to make sure that the building was suitable for all purposes.
The Pre and after school clubs also benefit the local community as they provide childcare for working parents from 8am. The building has also met Ofsted criteria.
