Headteachers will have more control, taking over from LA, to be allocated budgets and autonomy for larger projects, as early as next year! - [localgov.co.uk]

Councils’ role in distributing funding for vital education services could soon be bypassed, under controversial Whitehall plans that will anger town halls. Education secretary Michael Gove is considering switch to a ‘national funding formula’ for schools through his forthcoming education white paper. This would effectively remove local authorities’ role in allocating cash for strategic education programmes, such as funding for special educational needs, from the sector. ''Planning laws will also be reformed to give schools greater freedom to create extra classroom space''. - [The Telegraph]

PRESS RELEASE -: Why Eco-Friendly Mobile Classrooms Provide the Perfect Educational Environment

An ever-growing number of schools and educational establishments are now discovering the real advantages of the 'outside' mobile classroom. It has been proven that attractive, accessible and inclusive design of school building is beneficial for students of all levels of academic skill. This is however especially true for children and young people with SEN and disabilities where the school environment can have a decisive impact on their ability to learn. ....

Brand new classroom for younger pupils!

After five years of hard fundraising, we have finally managed to replace our grotty old portable with a beautiful new "eco-building" for our early learners, aged 4-6. The new mobile classroom incorporates a host of energy-saving features such as sun-pipes, which direct and reflect natural light into the classroom, reducing the cost of electric lighting. It also has its own toilets, wet area, reading window and play porch. Fakenham Garden Centre have kindly agreed to donate plants and landscaping for the area around the new classroom. Watch this space for details of our launch party!
